1.0 INTRODUCTION

The Lawrenceburg Farmers Market is scheduled to operate Saturday mornings between June and October.

The Market operates in accordance with all city, county, state, and federal laws pertaining to its operation.

The mission of the Market is to provide Lawrenceburg and the surrounding area with locally grown foods and farm products and to attract people to the downtown district area. The Market is focused on locally grown produce and farm products from the region, but may also host a limited amount of ready-to-eat and value-added products, to support downtown Lawrenceburg businesses and food-based entrepreneurs.

VENDORS MAY ARRIVE AN HOUR BEFORE TO SET UP. ALL VEHICLES ARE TO BE PARKED BY 8:45 AM.

Market will be located on the center space of the Downtown Square

2.0 MARKET RULES & REQUIREMENTS

Lawrenceburg Farmers Market is proud to be a PRODUCER-ONLY market.

  • All agricultural products sold at the market shall be of merchantable quality.

  • All growers will be required to obtain a growers certificate from the local UT Extension office. The Market Manager will assist you in obtaining this if needed.

  • A minimum of 85% of all agricultural products sold through the farmers market are grown in Tennessee

  • The vendor's acceptance to the Market is at the discretion of the Market Coordinator and/or any officer of the Market.

  • All vendors must represent their products in an honest manner, written or verbal.

  • All vendors must conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner.

  • All vendors must clean up their area prior to departure and their personal trash taken off-premises.

  • No refunds or credits for inclement weather - the market is rain or shine. If severe weather prohibits the safe operation of the market, the Market Coordinator holds the right to close the market. If any vendor leaves of their own accord because of inclement weather, payment will not be refunded or credited.

  • The Market Coordinator or officer of the Market maintains order at the Market.

  • The Market Coordinator maintains current and accurate records of each Vendor.

  • The Market Coordinator and sponsors promote and market the Market through paid and free media, including public service announcements, local businesses, civic groups, neighborhood associations, and the general public.

  • The Market Coordinator and/or any officer of the Market has the authority to issue warnings and take appropriate action against participating sellers who violate the by-laws contained in this document. The Market Coordinator has the power to immediately suspend or remove any vendor for any health, safety, and liability risks caused by any violation.

  • The Market Coordinator and/or any officer of the Market may expel any vendor from the Market if it is determined that this would be in the best interest of the Market. This expulsion would be pending board review and approval.

  • There is a Zero Tolerance Policy on Smoking within the sheltered area of the Farmers Market. NO SMOKING within 50 feet of the Building. This Zero Tolerance Policy is to be abided by regardless of who and when the act occurs. Failing to abide by The Tennessee Health and Safety Regulations on Smoking could result in suspension or even expulsion from the Lawrenceburg Farmers' Market.

2.1 VENDOR APPLICATIONS


All interested in becoming a vendor must fill out an application vendor application, agree to all guidelines provided in this document, and hold all required permits.

2.2 VENDOR FEES


RESERVED VENDORS: $85 for season (18 weeks)


Reserved Vendor Fees will be upfront, full season vendors. Reserved Vendors fees must be paid, in full one week before the first market day they will be attending.

  • Reserved Vendors will have first choice on spaces.

  • Vendor fees will not be refunded due to no show.

    WEEKLY VENDORS: $5 / week


    Weekly Vendors fees must be paid, in full one hour before the first market day they will be attending. Weekly Vendors cannot set up without payment before the market opens.

  • Weekly Vendor spots will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Vendor fees will not be refunded due to no show.

  • Weekly vendors may upgrade to a reserved vendor after attending 2 markets if they wish.
